Taxi Kellyville: Metro Pickups, Airport Runs and Maxi Cabs

The Metro reached Kellyville in 2019 and the estates keep pushing north. The trains are quick. The stretch from the station to a new street in North Kellyville is where a booked cab makes sense, and so is the long run to the airport.

Kellyville takes its name from Hugh Kelly, who kept the Bird-in-Hand hotel on the corner of Wrights and Windsor Roads. It stayed semi-rural for most of the 20th century. Today it is largely family homes on curving estate streets, 36 kilometres north-west of the city, with Windsor Road carrying the traffic through the middle.

Where the two Windsor Roads meet

Kellyville is where Old Windsor Road and Windsor Road join. Old Windsor Road runs south towards Parramatta with the North-West T-way buses alongside it. Windsor Road heads north through Rouse Hill to Windsor, and Green Road cuts across towards Castle Hill.

Who we drive

Metro commuters, parents doing the sport run, Norwest office staff and families off on holidays.

Shops, schools and sport

Kellyville Village on Wrights Road has both big supermarkets. North Kellyville Square is at Withers and Hezlett Roads, and Kellyville Grove opened on Hector Court in 2023. We fit baby seats and boosters for school pickups when you ask, and take pets and parcels too.

Meeting your driver in Kellyville

Estate streets loop back on themselves, and a few look alike. These details get the driver to you first time.

  1. 01

    Kellyville station

The station was built with kiss and ride and taxi bays, so we use those instead of stopping on Samantha Riley Drive. Double check you are at Kellyville, not Bella Vista or Rouse Hill one stop either side.

  2. 02

    Kellyville Village, Wrights Road

Coles and Woolworths are both here. Say which supermarket you have come out of and we will meet you at the nearest entrance.

  3. 03

    North Kellyville Square

At the corner of Withers and Hezlett Roads. Handy for the newer North Kellyville streets that are a long walk from any bus.

  4. 04

    Kellyville Grove, Hector Court

The newest centre in the suburb, opened in December 2023 with a Woolworths. Ask for the Hector Court side.

  5. 05

    Bernie Mullane Sports Complex

On Marella Avenue, where the Hills Hornets play basketball. After a game, tell us which entrance you will walk out of.

  6. 06

    Brand new streets

If your street has only just been built, give us the nearest main road too, such as Hezlett Road or Withers Road.

Rows of parked cars in the Kellyville station commuter car park beneath the Metro viaduct

Under the skytrain

The Metro gets you to Kellyville. We get you home.

Kellyville station has 1,200 commuter parking spaces under and around the viaduct, and commuter car parks along the line can fill early on weekdays. Buses run on the T-way beside Old Windsor Road, but they don't always line up with your train, particularly late at night.

A regular booked cab between home and the station solves both. So does a car straight to Norwest or Parramatta when the connection just isn't working.

  • Home to the station for an early Metro
  • Station to your door after a late train
  • No surge pricing when it rains and everyone wants a lift

Maxi cabs, baby seats and wheelchair access in Kellyville

Big families and big luggage are normal out here. Tell us what you need and we send the right vehicle. The wheelchair accessible vehicle should be booked ahead.

Kellyville to Sydney Airport

M7 or M2? It depends on the clock

A taxi from Kellyville to Sydney Airport takes 50 to 65 minutes off-peak. From this side of the Hills, heading south on the M7 and across the M5 is sometimes quicker than going east on the M2, and sometimes not. Your driver decides on the day.

Arriving back? Put your flight number in the booking so pickup is timed to your landing. Everything else is on our airport taxi page.
