Wheelchair Accessible Taxi in Sydney
Stay in your own wheelchair for the whole trip. Our wheelchair accessible vehicle is booked ahead for you, with a driver who secures the chair properly and takes the drive at a comfortable pace.
A booked vehicle, not a lucky one at the rank
Anyone who uses a wheelchair knows the problem with ranks and apps: the accessible vehicle is rarely the next one in line. You wait, you watch standard cars come and go, and you arrive late or not at all.
We work the other way round. You book our wheelchair accessible taxi for a set time, tell us about your chair, and the vehicle is set aside for your trip. You get a fixed quote before you travel, with tolls and GST included, so there is nothing to work out at the end.
Travelling with a carer, a partner or family? Tell us how many are coming and we will confirm who fits alongside the wheelchair. For larger groups where some passengers do not need the accessible space, we can pair it with a maxi taxi.
Tell us these when you book
A few details let us confirm the fit before the day, rather than finding out at the kerb.
- Manual or power wheelchair, or a mobility scooter
- Roughly how wide and long it is, and how much it weighs if it is a power chair
- Whether you transfer to a seat or stay in the chair
- How many carers or companions are travelling
- Any steps, slopes or narrow paths at pickup or drop-off
- Walking frames, oxygen or other equipment coming along
Call 02 7265 1227 if you are not sure of your chair's measurements. We can talk it through.
How an accessible trip runs
Booked and confirmed
We confirm the time, pickup address and the details of your chair, then give you a fixed quote.
The vehicle arrives
Your driver parks where there is room to lower the ramp or lift safely, away from traffic where possible.
Chair secured
The wheelchair is restrained to the vehicle and you are belted in. The driver checks both before moving off.
Out at the right door
We unload close to the entrance you need and make sure you are clear of the vehicle before leaving.

Trips people book it for
The accessible vehicle goes anywhere our other cars go, across Sydney and on transfers outside Sydney.
Medical appointments
Specialists, dialysis, rehab sessions and hospital outpatient clinics, with the return trip booked at the same time. Our door to door service suits these trips well.
Airport transfers
To and from Sydney Airport, planned around your flight. Let your airline know you need wheelchair assistance at the terminal too. More on our airport transfers page.
Family visits
Birthday lunches, weekend visits across town and trips to see grandchildren, without anyone having to lift the chair into a boot.
Events and outings
Concerts, matches and shows. Book the ride home before you go in and agree a pickup spot with level access. See special events.
Regular trips
Day programs, therapy or work on a set schedule. Give us the pattern and we can take the bookings in advance.
Assistance animals
Assistance animals travel with you, in this vehicle and every other one we run. Just mention them when you book.
Book as early as you can
We have a dedicated wheelchair accessible vehicle rather than a large accessible fleet, so it can be booked out at busy times. Early morning appointments, weekends and public holidays fill first. The more notice you give us, the better the chance we can match the exact time you want.
