The trips Sydney actually books a taxi for
Most of our work is not glamorous. It is the ordinary run of the week, and a good taxi service in Sydney should make those ordinary trips easy. These are the trips we see week in, week out, from the Hills to the Eastern Suburbs.
Medical appointments
Specialist rooms in Chatswood, a scan in Parramatta, or a day procedure where you have been told not to drive afterwards. Book the return at the same time and let us know if the clinic tends to run late.
Hospital visits
Visiting someone at Royal Prince Alfred in Camperdown, Westmead or Royal North Shore in St Leonards? Hospital car parks fill early and cost a lot by the hour. We drop you at the main entrance instead.
School and uni
Exam mornings, the first week at the University of Sydney or UNSW, or a move into college with a boot full of boxes. Parents book the school pickup when work runs over, too.
Shopping centres
A big grocery run, a new television from Westfield Parramatta, or the Boxing Day sales at Bondi Junction. Your driver loads the bags so you are not juggling trolleys in the car park.
Train stations
Central for a regional NSW TrainLink service, or Epping and Chatswood before the first buses are running. Early starts are exactly when a pre-booked car earns its keep.
Nights out
Dinner at Barangaroo, a show in the city, or drinks on King Street in Newtown. Book the ride home before you head out and leave the car keys where they belong.
Why general taxi transfers in Sydney work better booked
Hailing a cab in the middle of the city on a weekday afternoon is easy enough. Try it on a quiet street in Kellyville at 5am, or outside a restaurant in Cronulla on a wet Saturday night, and you can wait a long time for nothing to pass.
Booking ahead flips that around. The car is assigned before you walk out the door, the driver has your address and any notes, and the vehicle suits the trip: a sedan for two, an SUV when there is a pram, or a Kia Carnival when the cousins are visiting.
Our fares also stay put. There is no surge pricing when a storm rolls in, and no multiplier because a concert at Sydney Olympic Park has just let out.

Three ways to book
Whichever you use, the booking is handled the same way, day or night, so pick whatever suits you at the time.
The online form
Enter the pickup and drop-off addresses, date, time and number of passengers, then choose your vehicle. Anything the driver should know, like a unit number or a side gate, goes in Special Instructions.
Open the booking formA phone call
Some trips are easier to explain out loud: three stops, a patient being discharged, or a pickup from a street you cannot spell. Call and talk it through with a real person.
02 7265 1227A return booking
Choose Return on the form and add the time you want collecting. It suits a dinner in the city or a hospital visit, where you know roughly when you will be done but do not want to arrange a second car later.

From the harbour to the foothills, and beyond
We cover the whole of greater Sydney, not just the postcodes close to the city. Regular runs take us through the Hills District along Windsor Road and the M2, down Pittwater Road on the Northern Beaches, across the Lower North Shore and out west to Parramatta and Penrith.
Quiet streets like the one pictured are where booking really matters. There is no rank on the corner and no stream of empty cabs, so a confirmed pickup is the difference between leaving on time and standing at the letterbox refreshing an app.
Longer trips are fine too. We run transfers outside Sydney, and plenty of passengers use us for the airport once they know we are reliable for the short stuff.
