Door to Door Taxi in Sydney, With a Hand When You Need It

Our door to door taxi service in Sydney starts where you are standing, not at the end of the street or a rank outside the station. The driver pulls up at your address and finishes the trip at the entrance you are going to.

Popular with older passengers, families with small children and anyone carrying more than they would like to.

Who it suits

Who books a door to door taxi

Anyone can, and plenty of people book it without thinking of it as a separate service. Still, some trips need a little more than a car at the kerb, and these are the passengers who ask for it by name.

Seniors

Getting to the GP, the club for lunch or a grandchild's birthday without relying on family to drive. The driver takes it at your pace, from the front step onwards.

Medical and hospital appointments

Outpatient clinics, dialysis, eye procedures and scans. Big campuses like Westmead and Concord are confusing, so tell us the building or clinic and we aim for the closest drop-off point.

Parents with young kids

A pram, a nappy bag and a toddler who will not hold still. We can fit a baby capsule or child seat before arriving, so you are not wrestling one in on the footpath.

Shoppers with bags

The fortnightly shop from Castle Towers or Macquarie Centre is heavy. Your driver loads the boot and carries the bags to your door when you get home.

Late-night trips home

After a late shift at the hospital, a function in the city or a night out in Parramatta. We wait until you are through your front door before driving off.

Visitors who don't know the area

Staying with family in a suburb you have never been to? Give us the address and we find it, including the unit block tucked behind the shops.

How a trip runs

From your door to theirs

The difference is mostly in the details you give us at booking. A few extra words in Special Instructions save a lot of phone calls on the day.

Worth mentioning when you book

  • Unit number, building name or gate code
  • Stairs, a steep driveway or a long path
  • A walking stick or frame coming along
  • The clinic, ward or entrance you need
  • A mobile number the driver can call
  1. You book, with the details that matter

Use the online form or call. Battle-axe blocks in Baulkham Hills, retirement villages with several gates, and apartment towers with a separate lobby entrance are all easy once we know about them.

  2. The car pulls up at your address

Not around the corner, not a text saying the driver is "nearby". If you need help getting from the front door to the car, say so and the driver will come to the door.

  3. A hand in, and the bags in the boot

The driver can steady the door while you get settled, then loads walking aids, shopping or an overnight bag. Seatbelt on, and away.

  4. An unhurried drive

No lurching through traffic to save thirty seconds. If you would prefer the quieter route along the Pacific Highway rather than the motorway, just ask.

  5. Dropped at the right entrance

We stop as close to the door as the road rules and the site allow, whether that is a hospital drop-off bay, a shopping centre taxi zone or the kerb outside a friend's house.

  6. Home again, safely inside

On return trips, especially after dark, the driver carries the shopping to the door and waits until you are inside. Book the return at the same time, or call us once you know when you need picking up.

Beyond the kerb

What our drivers actually do

A door to door taxi in Sydney is only worth booking if the driver gets out of the car. Ours do, every time it is needed.

Help to the door

An arm on the way down the front steps, a steady hand at the car, and the same again at the other end.

Carry the shopping

Groceries, a pharmacy bag or a case of water from the supermarket, carried from the boot to your doorstep.

Wait until you are in

At night the car stays put, headlights on the path, until the door is open and you are inside.

Using a wheelchair? We have an accessible vehicle.

Our wheelchair accessible vehicle can be booked for door to door trips. Call us on 02 7265 1227 and tell us about the chair or scooter you use, so we can confirm the fit and book the vehicle for your time. More detail is on our wheelchair accessible taxi page.

Every suburb, every street. From the Upper North Shore to the Northern Suburbs and across all our service areas.

Regular trips, same arrangement each time

Many door to door passengers travel on a pattern: physio on Tuesdays, a weekly visit to a partner in aged care, or treatment that runs for several weeks. Tell us the schedule and we can take the bookings in advance, so nobody has to remember to call each time.

Family members often book on behalf of a parent who lives across town. Put your own number and theirs in the booking, choose how the fare will be paid (cash, card, Cabcharge, Apple Pay or Google Pay), and we will look after the rest. If the trip is to the airport, our airport transfers work the same way, door to terminal.

Door to door taxi questions

Call us and we will explain how the fare works for your trip before you book. You get a fixed quote upfront, with tolls and GST included. If you want a stop along the way or the driver to wait, mention it at booking so it is part of the quote.
