Booking a cab in Blacktown

Blacktown grew up around its railway station, and the town centre still hugs the tracks. Main Street runs along the south side, and most of what people need is on that side too: the Australian Catholic University campus across the road, Westpoint on Patrick Street, the Workers Club on Campbell Street. The bus interchange and commuter car parks are north of the line, and Blacktown Hospital is a short drive south-east on Blacktown Road. Getting between those places on foot is easy in daylight. At 11pm with shopping, a sick child or a suitcase, less so.

Most of our Blacktown calls are exactly that kind of trip: commuters off a late train, patients and visitors at the hospital, families going to the airport, and shift workers from the industrial estates around Huntingwood and Arndell Park. Sedans and SUVs carry up to four. Our maxi cabs take 7 or 11, and we fit baby seats when you ask.

If you searched for a Blacktown taxi number, this is it: 02 7265 1227. We answer around the clock, give you a fixed quote with tolls and GST included, and never add surge pricing. Pay by card, Cabcharge, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash.

Where the lines split

A quick guide to Blacktown station

This is where the Richmond line leaves the Main Western line, which is why the station is so large and why people get lost meeting a car here. Knowing which platform you arrive on tells us which side to wait.

Platforms 1 to 4

T1 and T5 Cumberland Line services, with some trains finishing at Platform 3. These are on the northern half of the station.

Platforms 5 to 7

More T1 trains, plus the Blue Mountains Line and NSW TrainLink regional services. These are the platforms closest to Main Street.

The bus interchange

Built in the triangle between the two lines, with stands A to N. It is for buses, so walk through to the Main Street rank or the north kiss and ride.

Trackwork weekend? When buses replace trains on the Western Line, a booked car from the station is often the simpler way home. Call 02 7265 1227.

Maxi cabs, baby seats and wheelchair access

Whole-family airport runs and hospital visits are a big part of our Blacktown work. A maxi keeps a family of eight in one car to the airport, baby seats are fitted before we arrive, and our wheelchair accessible vehicle can be booked ahead for appointments.

Blacktown to Sydney Airport

Getting the airport timing right from Blacktown

Off-peak, a taxi from Blacktown reaches the Mascot terminals in 45 to 55 minutes. On a weekday between about 6am and 9am, the M4 and WestConnex can add a lot, so for international flights we suggest leaving at least three hours before departure.

Flying from Western Sydney International at Badgerys Creek instead? That run is 35 to 45 minutes. For arrivals at either airport, add your flight number and we time the pickup to when you land. See our Sydney Airport transfers page for how it works.

  • Tell us the bags

Four people with big cases often need a maxi, not a sedan.

  • Child seats

Say the age of each child and we bring the right seat.

  • Flight number

Delays are tracked, so the driver arrives when you do.

  • One fixed price

Tolls and GST included, day or night.
