Taxi Campbelltown: 24/7 Cabs, Maxi Taxis and Airport Runs
From the Queen Street end of town to the hospital on Therry Road and the uni on Narellan Road, Campbelltown is spread out and the trains only cover part of it. Book a car to your door, day or night, with the fare fixed before you set off.

- Up to 11 seats
Two town centres, one phone number
Campbelltown really has two centres. The old one sits around Queen Street, with St Peter's Church on Cordeaux Street (in use since 1823), Mawson Park and Campbelltown Mall. A few kilometres south, Macarthur has grown up around Macarthur Square, its own railway station, the Western Sydney University campus and Campbelltown Hospital. Walking between the two is not something most people do twice.
So the taxi work here is a mix. Hospital visits and discharges. Students and staff heading to the campus entrance on Narellan Road. Shoppers with a boot load from Macarthur Square. Families from Ambarvale, Bradbury and Leumeah flying out of Mascot. We cover all of it with sedans and SUVs for up to four, and maxi cabs that seat 7 or 11.
Every trip is quoted before you get in, tolls and GST included, with no surge pricing on game nights or public holidays. Call 02 7265 1227 for a car now, or book ahead for an early Sydney Airport transfer.
Around the clock
A day of taxi trips in Campbelltown
The bookings change with the hours. This is roughly how a weekday looks from behind the wheel.
-
4am to 7am
Early flights and hospital shift changes
The first cars of the day head up the Hume Motorway to the M5 with suitcases in the back, well before the motorway fills. Nurses and support staff finishing a night at Campbelltown Hospital get collected from the Therry Road side and taken home to Rosemeadow, Glen Alpine or further out.
-
9am to 4pm
Appointments, errands and the Queen Street end
Specialist appointments near the hospital, shopping runs to Campbelltown Mall on Queen Street, and older passengers who would rather not drive into the hospital car parks. Visitors come for the Japanese Gardens at Campbelltown Arts Centre on Art Gallery Road, and families take the kids to the Billabong Parklands across the road in Bradbury, which opened in 2024.
-
5pm to 10pm
Kellicar Lane dinners and match nights in Leumeah
Evenings are split between dinner at the Kellicar Lane restaurants at Macarthur Square and crowds heading to Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
Game day at the stadium
The stadium on the corner of Pembroke Road and Rose Payten Drive hosts Wests Tigers games in the NRL and Macarthur's A-League football. On game nights the streets around Leumeah station and Wests Leagues Club clog quickly after full time. Book your ride home before kick-off and we will agree a pickup spot a short walk from the gates, rather than trying to reach the front entrance with everyone else.
-
After midnight
Late landings and the last train that got away
Passengers landing late at Mascot, workers finishing a late shift, and anyone who reaches Campbelltown or Macarthur station after the trains have thinned out. The quote at 2am is worked out the same way as at 2pm.
Common trips from Campbelltown
Off-peak road estimates. The M5 is the big variable: a weekday afternoon heading south can double the Liverpool leg.
| Campbelltown to | Typical time | Route notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sydney Airport | 50 to 60 min | Hume Motorway, then the M5 towards Mascot |
| Sydney CBD | 55 to 70 min | Via the M5 and M8, about 53 km by road |
| Liverpool | 20 to 30 min | Liverpool Hospital and the Westfield |
| Parramatta | 40 to 50 min | Usually the M7, depending on traffic |
| Camden | 20 to 25 min | Along Narellan Road |
| Wollongong | 50 to 60 min | Down Appin Road, slow behind trucks |
Tolls on the M5 and M8 are already in the price we give you.
Pickup points
Where to meet your Campbelltown taxi
- Campbelltown station
- The entrances are on Hurley Street and Farrow Road, and both carry bus stands. Tell us which one you will walk out of, so we are not waiting on the wrong street.
- Macarthur Square
- At 200 Gilchrist Drive, with Macarthur station connected to the centre. Most buses use Kellicar Road, so we usually pick a spot by a named car park instead.
- Campbelltown Hospital
- 1 Therry Road. Car park access is from Therry Road and Parkside Crescent. Give us the ward or building and we will come to the nearest drop-off, not the far end of a car park.
- Western Sydney University
- The campus sits on the corner of Narellan Road and Gilchrist Drive, and cars come in from Narellan Road.
Maxi cabs, baby seats and wheelchair access in Campbelltown
Big families, sports teams and hospital patients make up a lot of our Campbelltown bookings. Mention what you need when you call: a child seat, a maxi for the whole group, or our wheelchair accessible vehicle, which is best booked ahead.
Campbelltown to Sydney Airport
It is a motorway run, so timing is everything
At quiet times the airport is 50 to 60 minutes away. The M5 is the main road for the whole of south-west Sydney, though, so a Monday morning or a Friday afternoon can add a lot. For a morning international flight, allow more time than a map app suggests. We will recommend a pickup time when you book.
Coming home, put your flight number in the booking and we time the pickup to when you actually land. Details are on the airport taxi page.
- Pay by card, Cabcharge, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash
- Room for luggage, prams and golf bags
- Maxi cabs for families flying out together
- Collected from your front door, not the station
