Taxi Kogarah: Local Cabs for the Hospital, the Station and the Airport

Kogarah is small on the map and big on comings and goings: two hospitals, a TAFE campus, a football stadium and a train line, all close together. We run cars here 24/7, with fixed quotes.

Book a taxi in Kogarah

Kogarah sits 14 km south of the city and has long been treated as the middle of the St George area. It is split between Georges River Council and Bayside Council, which tells you something about where it sits: halfway between the Hurstville side and the Botany Bay side, with the Princes Highway running straight through.

Most of our Kogarah passengers are going somewhere specific and on a clock. A clinic appointment at St George Hospital. A shift finishing at St George Private. A class at the TAFE campus on Montgomery Street. A flight out of Mascot, only a short run up the road.

We send sedans and SUVs for up to four people, and maxi cabs for groups of up to 7 or 11. Baby seats are available on request, and our wheelchair accessible vehicle is best booked ahead.

Every trip gets a fixed quote with tolls and GST included, and no surge pricing on Dragons game nights. Pay by card, Cabcharge, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash. Call 02 7265 1227 and tell us where you are going.

The hospital precinct

Taxis to and from St George Hospital

Kogarah is a hospital suburb. That changes the kind of taxi work we do here: less nightlife, more discharges, day surgery pickups, cancer care appointments and family members coming and going at all hours.

St George Hospital

Public hospital, main address 30 Gray Street. The emergency department is also reached from Gray Street.

St George Private Hospital

1 South Street. Tell us you are at the private hospital and we will not go looking on Gray Street.

Discharge running late? Book a rough time, then call when the paperwork is signed. We adjust.

Need a wheelchair accessible vehicle for a hospital trip? Ask a day or two ahead where you can.

Visiting from out of town? We can take you from the airport straight to the ward entrance.

Pickup points around Kogarah

The centre is tight, with the railway line cutting it in two. Knowing which side you are on is half the job.

Kogarah station

On the T4 line. The Railway Parade side leads straight into the Kogarah Town Centre shopping centre; the western entrance is on Station Street. Tell us which one and we will be on the right side of the tracks.

Kogarah Town Square, Belgrave Street

Home to the Clive James Library and Service Centre, named after the writer who grew up in Kogarah. A good quiet meeting point away from the station crowd.

TAFE NSW St George

Campuses on Montgomery Street and President Avenue. Give us the building letter if you have one.

Jubilee Stadium

249 Princes Highway, on the corner of Jubilee Avenue, and home ground of the St George Illawarra Dragons. After a game the highway is packed, so book before kick-off and we will meet you a short walk from the ground.

Kogarah to Sydney Airport

Kogarah is about as close to the airport as St George gets. Off-peak, we are at the terminals in 15 to 25 minutes, heading down President Avenue to Brighton-Le-Sands and along General Holmes Drive. It is short enough that people cut it fine, and General Holmes Drive can crawl in peak hour.

Arriving? Book with your flight number and we time the pickup to your landing. More on our Sydney Airport taxi page.
