Between Parramatta Road and the railway

Auburn is 16 kilometres west of the city, and its town centre starts at the station on Rawson Street and runs about a kilometre south along Auburn Road and Queen Street. Parramatta Road marks the northern side, lined with furniture showrooms and bulky goods centres, and past it are the industrial streets towards Clyde and Silverwater.

That spread is why people call us. Shift workers need a car before the first train. Families head to the airport with more bags than a bus will take. Patients leave Auburn Hospital at hours when nobody wants to wait on a platform. We cover all of it, in a sedan or SUV for up to four, or a maxi taxi for up to 11.

Boxes from a Parramatta Road showroom can ride with you if they fit the boot, and our parcel service takes smaller items across Sydney on their own. Business accounts can use our corporate transfers. Every fare is quoted upfront with tolls and GST included, and you can pay by card, Cabcharge, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash.

Twenty-four hours of Auburn bookings

The trips change with the clock. This is roughly how a weekday runs for us here.

  1. Before sunrise

Airport runs for the first flights out, and early starts in the industrial streets. On Saturdays Paddy's Markets at Flemington opens at 6am, so some of our Auburn bookings start well before daylight.

  2. Through the day

Groceries from Auburn Central on the corner of Queen Street and Harrow Road, appointments at Auburn Hospital, and visitors heading to the Botanic Gardens or the Gallipoli Mosque. If you would like a hand with bags, mention it when you book.

  3. Evening

Auburn Road is known for Turkish, Lebanese and Afghan food, and dinner groups often need two cars or a maxi cab home. Event nights at Sydney Olympic Park, a short drive away, fill the rest.

  4. Late night

Trains thin out after midnight. We collect people discharged from the 24 hour emergency department, workers finishing late shifts and passengers landing on the last flights.

How long from Auburn?

Road estimates outside peak hour. Parramatta Road is slow in both peaks, so we pad early pickups.

Auburn Botanic Gardens

Cherry blossom week needs a plan

The gardens on Chisholm Road are free and open all year, with a Japanese garden, a lake, rainforest walks and wallabies. For most of the year you can simply turn up.

Late August is different. The Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival runs for a little over a week, numbers inside are capped, and every visitor needs a ticket booked online beforehand. Cumberland residents get in free but still need that ticket, and there are no door sales.

  • Book your car for the same time slot as your ticket
  • Set a return time so you are not waiting on the kerb
  • A maxi cab takes the whole family and the picnic gear

Auburn to Sydney Airport

Tunnels most of the way

Off-peak, allow 30 to 40 minutes from Auburn to the terminals. The M4 and WestConnex usually beat surface roads, and the toll is already inside your quote.

Weekday mornings push that out, so for a 7am flight we will suggest a very early pickup. Coming back, include your flight number and we time the pickup to your landing. See our Sydney Airport taxi page for terminal details.

Flying out as a family?

A maxi cab carries up to 11 people and their suitcases, so nobody has to follow in a second car.

Anything else, ring us. The phone is answered 24/7.
