The Eastern Suburbs changes trains here, and a lot of people change to a cab
Bondi Junction is where the Eastern Suburbs line ends and the bus network fans out towards Bondi, Bronte, Coogee and Vaucluse. It is also a shopping town in its own right, with Westfield on the corner of Oxford and Grosvenor Streets, Eastgate a short walk away and the pedestrian Oxford Street Mall between Bronte Road and Newland Street.
That mix makes for short, practical cab rides. A trolley's worth of groceries home to Queens Park, a parent and pram back to Bronte, a client meeting in the city from one of the office towers. Our Bondi Junction taxi number is 02 7265 1227, and it is answered 24/7.
Sedans to 11-seaters
Sedans and SUVs for up to four. A maxi taxi in Bondi Junction takes 7 or 11 with luggage.

Where to meet your Bondi Junction cab
Bondi Junction has a pedestrian mall, a bus-only interchange and several multi-level car parks. Pick one of these and we will know exactly where you are.
-
Westfield Bondi Junction, Grosvenor Street
Grosvenor Street runs along the Westfield side of the centre and is calmer than Oxford Street. For a booked car, tell us you are coming out on Grosvenor Street and the driver waits nearby.
-
Bondi Junction station
The underground station has entrances from Grafton Street and from Oxford Street Mall. The bus interchange above it is for buses, so we meet you on Grafton Street rather than inside.
-
Oxford Street Mall
Cars can't enter the mall between Bronte Road and Newland Street. Walk to either end and name the corner.
-
Waverley Council, 55 Spring Street
Waverley Council's Bondi Junction address. Wait out the front on Spring Street and the car pulls in alongside.
-
War Memorial Hospital, 125 Birrell Street
Just over the line in Waverley. Rehabilitation and day programs for older patients, so we allow time for walkers and a slower walk to the car.
The last leg
Why so many trips begin at the end of the line
Trains have terminated at Bondi Junction since the Eastern Suburbs Railway opened in 1979. From here, the suburbs that people are actually going to, the cliff-top streets of Dover Heights, the beaches at Bronte and Clovelly, are a bus change or a steep walk away. A taxi covers that last few kilometres.
Luggage
Coming back from the airport by train? Ride to the Junction and let us take the cases the rest of the way home.
Late trains
After a night in the city the connecting buses can be a long wait. Book the cab for when your train pulls in.
Big shops
A new television, the Christmas shopping or a week of groceries is easier in a boot than on a bus.
Maxi cabs, baby seats and wheelchair access in Bondi Junction
Ask for what you need when you book. Baby seats are fitted on request, and the wheelchair accessible vehicle should be booked in advance.
Bondi Junction to Sydney Airport
Door to terminal, no train change at Central
Off-peak, a taxi from Bondi Junction to the airport takes 25 to 35 minutes. The usual route runs past Centennial Park and on to Southern Cross Drive. Friday afternoons and the evening peak can stretch that out, so we build extra time into those pickups.
Plan to leave about two hours before a domestic flight and three before an international one. When you land, the flight number in your booking lets us time the pickup to your arrival. Terminal details are on the Sydney Airport taxi page.
